Kumar Suresh Singh
K.S. Singh, formerly of the Indian Administrative Service, has profusely contributed towards constructing a comprehensive body of ethnographic literature in the country. He is the author of The Indian Famine, Birsa Munda and His Movement and Tribal Society in India. Besides, he was instrumental in shaping the multi-volume People of India project as a Director General of Anthropological Survey of India.
