How Editors Edit?
Editors are the people who work as hard as the writers and authors do, they just don’t do it directly but work on already written and completed projects and create them even in a much more amazing way.
Here’s how editors do their work-
- They first look at the kind of work you’ve done, the experience that you’ve got in writing, if it’s your main profession or just a side hobby.
- They then see the genre and category of the work that you’ve written. It is a novel, a short story, a poetry book?
- They then see the blurb and synopsis of the book that you’ve written.
- Then they read a few chapters. In the first few chapters only most editors can conclude if they want to accept the book for further work or not. Is the book worthy enough of their time?
- If accepted, they then work on the storyline, the spellings, the grammar, the punctuations, al most everything and make the writer of the book do heavy changes in the book in order to shape the book into much more refined product.
That’s how the editing work is done.
